DUNCAN MACQUEEN

For many years, I have been taking photos while on my travels to different parts of the world. See my website under Travel, these photos are of a general nature and are my favourites over this period.

Art related photographic projects: photographing and preparing archival portfolios with Hi Resolution and Medium Resolution (suitable for the internet) files in a presentation folder – Noosa Regional Gallery, Cooroy Butter Factory Arts Centre, Gympie Regional Gallery and catalogue work. Some examples of resent work in this field are below.

My latest project is to take the photo with my Nikon D800, (usually using a wide angle lens) and then processing the photo using a filter procedure that I have developed followed then by printing them either on archival photographic paper or canvas. An example of an image processed in this way is: ‘The Vintage Junction Cooran’ which can be seen below under recent photography.

In 2013, I completed a Diploma of Photography from the Photographic Institute ‘PI’ and in 2014 completed a module on Cinematography.

I now produce Photography (formally DMA Photography), Video and Film under the name Friarbird Productions. I have 10 years experience of making and producing industry documentaries for commercial industrial and art projects.

On the art admin side, I am on the board and past President of the Cooroy Future Group which has responsibility for operating the Butter Factory Art Centre in Cooroy – a refurbished ex butter factory and now Gallery and centre for art related activities and workshops.
